Question : I am 49 years old,I have blue tounge blue parts on gums,loss of appetite and cannot sleep for more than 2 hours at a time I get very bloated and very tired.I seem to swell up at night like I'm 9 months preganet,and excessive sweats.

The blue tongue and parts of gums that you have can be due to a viral infection or a circulatory problem in the area. A nutritional deficiency and infection also needs to be ruled out after a direct examination by a dentist. The bloating and loss of sleep are more likely to be due to stress anxiety and your dietary habits. This kind of problems definitely need a multidisciplinary approach. I will try to help you with various specialties who need to be referred under the care of an Internal Medicine Physician (MD). The various specialists to be involved are Gastroenterologist, Dentist, Neuropsychiatrist, Psychotherapist.
