What Causes Body Chills And Severe Headache?

Question : hi, my son is has been experiencing chills then a severe headache at the same time everyday...5pm. He takes an advil then feels fine. This has been happening since Monday, so for the last 6 days. He feels fine before 5 and has a good appetite.He also said that when experiencing headache his eyes hurt especially when he looks from side to side and at anything bright.

Does he have fever also? If not sure, please maintenan temperature record twice a day and inform.
Also mention if he has other symptoms like vomiting sensation or vomitings, rash , joint pains , abdominal pain, diarrhoea, burning or change in urine colour, cough and cold.

He has chills but and when he rakes advil breaks out in sweat so seems like he has fever. Will take his temp ti make sure. No other symptoms other than chills and headache. No joint pain, visiting or upset stomach. thanks

Hi,
Headache and fever are commonly caused by infections. Focal infections like sinusitis, meningitis, urinary and ear infections; systemic infections like viral fevers, typhoid and other bacterial infections can also cause chills and headache.
If clinical clues are absent for you to identify the source, he is better taken to a physician for undergoing general examination and some tests if necessary.

These are called intermittent fevers..temperature spikes only at certain times.

Diarrhoea suggests that the source of infection lies in the gut. Enteric infections like typhoid and other gram negative infections, viral infections like rota,adeno and many more viruses can cause similar symptoms.
