Brief Answer:
Need to monitor the temperature

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.

Symptoms of flu and anxiety are very similar. But the anxiety will never lead to fever. If you have chills due to flu then there has to be a fever as well and this can be confirmed by getting a temperature recorded regularly.

If there is no fever then it could very well be anxiety. Occurs because of imbalance of certain neurotransmitters in the brain. especially serotonin, nor adrenaline, and dopamine to some extent.

Medicines are the best options to take care of these symptoms. Paroxetine is the the most popular medicine and my drug of choice. I generally prescribe my patients 12.5 mg per day at night which takes care of anxiety symptoms. Also certain medicines like propranolol and clonazepam can be give as required when there is a panic episode or expected situation where panic attack can appear.

Hope I am able to answer your concerns.

Hi Doc,

But how to decide whether I am stressed or not. Is there any specific thing which can tell me whether i am stressed. Also i have constantly checked my temp. It goes down like 96.8. but never went up high. It is like this for more than 2 months.

Thanks,

Brief Answer:
No specific test

Detailed Answer:
Hello
These is no specific test to tell whether you are stressed or not.
A psychiatrist can determine it with a mental state examination.
If there no fever and you have chills since 2 months, then it is likely to be anxiety. Do consider meeting a psychiatrist.

Kind regards
