Brief Answer:
Low dose Aspirin is safe, consider indication, tak

Detailed Answer:
Hi and kind regards,

Low dose Aspirin has a particular goal. At low doses, this drug reduces that ability of platelets and blood in general to form clots. It is from this basis that it is used in preventing stroke and some fatal cardiac events like myocardial infarction.

It might be of utmost importance to know if you are hypertensive of not, if you have had a stroke, heart disease or a transient ischemic attack (mini or reversible stroke) before? If this drug has been prescribed to you for any of these reasons or or risk factors, i would strongly advice to continue taking the drug. You ca contact your doctor if you start experiencing some gastritis or epigastric pain, gastric bleeding or an allergy to the drug.

Changes in hand coloration , pain in calf and right hip deserve a careful review. These could range from degenerative diseases like chronic arthritis for the hip, inflammatory conditions like polymyalgia rheumatica, conditions like Reynold s phenomenon (changing color of hands), systemic diseases which deserve a careful clinical review and blood testing. You could start taking some simple analgesics like Acetaminophen to manage pain, as you await to see an internist for a proper medical examination.

Kind regards as I wish you the best of health. Low dose aspirin would not be a problem with regards to you traveling, especially if it has an appropriate medical indication. No worries.

Please, do feel free asking further questions in case you need more precision on specific issues. Kind regards

Dr Bain
