What Causes Body Imbalance In An Elderly Person?

My mother is 70 years old and is suffering from this peculiar problem since 3 months. Usually after her dinner at around 10 pm she suffers from body imbalance and cant walk and also she talks in a abnormal tone and she will not be in her sense , this happens for 15 - 20 minuites after which she becomes quite OK but the next day she forgets this entire episode. This is happening frequently since 3 Months We have done her Brain CT and Brain MRI scan and Braain MRI Angio which has come out normal. We have visited Neurologist who suggested us Levipill 500. We wanted to have a second opinion on this . Kindly let us know what could be the exact problem and kindly let us know the solution and we are very worried.
Possibilities are seizures and TIA.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your mother's symptoms.
She has transient neurological abnormalities with loss of memory about the event. There are two likely causes for this:
1. Seizures- the most likely cause. Levipil (levetiracetam) is a good medication to control the seizures. EEG test should be done.
2. TIA (transient ischemic attack)- This occurs due to lack of blood flow to brain for a short period of time. If she has risk factors for TIA (such as high BP, sugar or cholesterol), then carotid doppler test should be done. Aspirin tablet may be needed in this case, if TIA is confirmed.

Thank you so much for the reply.
We have her EEG done and it has also come out normal. Her BP , Sugar and Lipid profile are also under control and she is taking Ecosprin 75 mg daily one tablet.
Should we conclude that this problem is because of Seizures and she should continue with Levipil ? or should we have anymore test done .
Kindly Advice

Continue with the current line of treatment.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back with more information.
All the required tests have been done.
We can conclude that these episodes are due to seizures.
Continue Levipil and Ecosprin.
