Brief Answer:
One day, possibly allergic. As no itching, not to worry. cont medications

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Weakness at present could be due to a multitude of causes. Low nutrition, disturbed sleep, reduced hydration, low blood pressure and psychological effect appears to be more common.
2. Amongst the medications, if no rashes or itching present, which will rule out allergic causes, thyronorm 50, could be affecting, possibly due to reduced dose (low dose, hypothyroidism symptoms like weakness may be still present).
3. Do check, that her nutrition and hydration (atleast 4-5 liters of water per day) is usual. Also check for blood pressure and urine output (whether it is same as usual). Ask her if she has any abdominal pain - any upper or lower abdominal pain, could be due to medication induced gastritis. She will require omeprazole or pantoprazole for it.
4. If all are normal, then it is most probably psychological. Emotional support will be necessary. Mild walking after medications will be helpful. Also good quantity of fluids will be necessary. It will take another 4-5 days for her to get used to medications.
5. At present, rest and support during movement is necessary. Concentrate on any symptoms and improve nutrition and hydration. She should improve.

Hope it helps.

Thank you so much for your reply. It is such a relief to know that things are fine. I wish to also clarify the following. My mom had fallen sick on 3 September, 2015 i.e. she had fever and high blood pressure. There after she went to homeopathy treatment (because she is used to that) but the fever did not go down. On advise of next allopathic doctors, she got the blood and urine test reports done. But near about that time she also developed swelling in both her feet, face and arms (around 5 Sept). Gradually the swelling reduced from face and arms but remained in her feet.
Day before yesterday, she started taking the 4 medicines I have stated above, however she still has some swelling in her feet. She is not feeling very very weak today but is still weak and not fully ok. There is also some swelling on her feet. I am worried about the swelling. Could you please tell me if any of these medicines she is taking will reduce her swelling.
Kind regards

Brief Answer:
Limb elevation overnight, will reduce swelling

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.

Amongst the medications, Eritel CH will have some effect on the reduction of lower limb edema. It is a type of edema, basically due to posture.
As it is already reducing, a further reduction can be hastened by the elevation of legs in a recumbent or sleeping position with 2-3 pillows below legs. The limbs elevated should be above level of the heart. Overnight limb elevation should help in reducing swelling. It might take a day or two for the swelling reduction. It could recur occasionally, and limb elevation should reduce it overnight.

The edema is related to posture and reduction of edema is essential and limb swelling over time can lead onto ulcers due to increased vascular pressure on the skin.

Not to worry. It will reduce.

Hope it helps.
