Question : my son is 9 days old ( new born). he passes motion, after I feed him or aversge 6 to 7 times. is it a normal symptom? if so for how many days this will continue? he was born during 37th week of pregnancy.
Brief Answer:
it is normal
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
Motion after every feed is normal most likely due to hyperactive gastro colic reflex in newborn.
If there is no fever, no greenish vomiting, stool is not foul smelling or watery, passing urine adequately then you need not to worry.
It can become normal within 6 to 8 months.
Sometimes baby passes stool after every feed and sometime he may not pass the motion for 2 to 3 days.
Hope I helped you.
