Question : Hi,
My baby is 4 months old.He is passing stool once in 8 days.He is completely breast fed.I am giving 2 spoons of water daily as suggested by doctor.Please help me.Is it necessary to give vitamin and iron drops to my baby. Doctor suggested just XXXXXXX Bevon and Feris drops..we have consulted another ped and he told us to stop using any medicine to baby.Please clarify

Welcome to the HCM

I completely understand your concerns. No supplements except Vitamin D3 are recommended in this age. So, stop iron and other vitamins. Also, iron supplement leads to constipation, so it will aggravate the problem in your baby.

So, kindly give only Vitamin D 3 drops ( 400 IU/day) available OTC along with exclusive breastfeeding with no water till your baby is 6 months of age.
