Question : Hi doctor..... Me and my husband had sex on 11th XXXXXXX on 12th XXXXXXX I had taken m pill.... And now on 20th am having period like spotting... Am really worried... Pls help...

Hi,

Welcome to health care magic,

Since You have taken Emergency contraceptive pill (M pill) which actually causes imbalance in the hormonal levels and causes breakthrough bleeding and spotting.

So,there is no need to worry as it would subside with in a few days.However,you may go for urine pregnancy test at home for a safer side after 2 weeks of unprotected sex.

If the bleeding becomes very heavy and severe, kindly consult a Gynecologist for further evaluation.

Yes,you may get your periods early because of contraceptive pill. Menstrual cycle may get irregular for couple of months but there is no need to worry.
