Question : I have taken one nitrofurantoin microcrystalline 100 mg I am having problems breathing. I have had one cocktail and half a glass of wine and threw out...my dr. Prescribed it today for urinary tract infection.
Took pill around 5:00. Can't find it in pill identifier .

I think you should get yourself a urine culture
The drug nitrofurantoin is not a very safe drug
Can cause interstitial lung damage in lungs
that may result in breathlessness

Best get a culture and change the antibiotic
