What Causes Breathlessness And Sharp Chest Pain?

Question: Hi Doctor,

I have had chronic chest tightness in the upper front chest region under the sternum from 2002 onwards. I also had marginally high BP (145/95) so my local doctor asked me to test for cardiac issues. Tests proved I have no obvious cardiac issues but I continue to have exercise induced breathlessness and sharp chest pain that comes down the moment relax. Again, I also feel a sore area in the chest when swallowing food at times. I have had a history of acidity in the past but now its no longer current due to controlled food intake and non-spicy ingredients.

From the Web I learn there is a condition called Costochondritis which has similar symptoms - is this what I am suffering from? I am aged 46 now and male. I walk 4 km daily briskly. Please advise if there is any treatment for this condition without steroids or other side effects. Is there something in Alternative medicine, like Ayurveda, perhaps? I also suffer from ED for past 3 + years.

As you have a history of chronic chest pain and also have history of Gastritis too. In this condition, you have controlled your gastritis and chest burning by controlling spicy food, but as per Ayurveda way of treatment, this conditions due to excessive pitta and you can get sure shot relief by Ayurveda treatment.

For this you should have to control spicy food, as well as stale and fermented food also. Avoid curd and pickles too.

Please start the following medicines which is cure this condition and ED too.
1. Kamdudha ras 2 tabs twice a day
2. XXXXXXX ras 2 tabs twice a day
3. Audumbaravleha 10 ml twice a day
4. XXXXXXX Sutshekhar ras 1 tab twice a day with honey.

Please continue this medicines for three months and then after once review needed.

By "mentioned medicines" do you mean me or you?

Am presuming

1. Kamdudha ras 2 tabs twice a day
2. XXXXXXX ras 2 tabs twice a day
3. Audumbaravleha 10 ml twice a day
4. XXXXXXX Sutshekhar ras 1 tab twice a day with honey.

Will take care of BP, Chest Tightness and ED.

Am also presuming I should discontinue
1. Muktavati
2. Ashwagandha
3. Tozar H (for BP) taking 1 tab at present

Please confirm above so I can start medications.

A. Tozar H, with
1. Muktavati
2. Ashwagandha

OR

B. Tozar H, with
1. Kamdudha ras 2 tabs twice a day
2. XXXXXXX ras 2 tabs twice a day
3. Audumbaravleha 10 ml twice a day
4. XXXXXXX Sutshekhar ras 1 tab twice a day with honey.

Is it A or B you mean by your reply?

Next, based on A or B as your answer, please clearly confirm this set will take care of BP, Chest Tightness and ED.

and this set will take care of your blood pressure, chest tightness and as well as ED too. Effect on ED will be slow and if needed will have to add more medicines after three months for ED.
Recently we can not add more stronger medicines of ED as have to control Chest tightness and BP first.
