Question: I feel like I can't breathe when lying in my right side 3 days post lap choly. Normal? I thought laporiscopic surgery was easier on you but I feel awful. I think its just better fit the hospitals get you in/out quicker

Brief Answer:
Need review by your surgeon

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Nice to see you again

I can understand that plight you are going through.
It is possibly you are still not comfortable with the Lap Choley you have undergone through.

Please let me know if you have any other symptoms like: Fever, nausea, vomiting, bloating, change in bowel habits?
How is the belly button wound?

The probable reason for the problem you are suffering - of feeling like not breathing when lying on your right side is probably due to the following reason:
-The gall bladder is removed from the fossa (gall bladder bed) on the liver. This can be small to large and varies in every patient, secondly it depends on how much was the inflammation / adhesion / bleeding at the time of operation that the instrumentation was necessary.

All these things can be the reason for the pain you are having.

Of course there is a rare chance of some minor sequel.

In fact you are right in saying this: fit the hospitals get you in/out quicker- but the benefit the patients get is far more than the thought you have and we can discuss more about it if you need to.

Please get back to your Surgeon and get a review done if there is slightest doubt about complications
