Question : I'm 78 years old and had one brief encounter 13 years ago after my husband passed away. Is it possible to have am STD now after all these years. I am having some bloody brownish discharge vaginally. nothing shows up in the toilet, but the urine looks cloudy. I just finished a round of Cipro for a UTI.
Brief Answer:
not likely STD
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
This is not likely to be STD especially not after so many years. It may be atrophy of vaginal wall or vaginitis caused by other bacterias. Also uroinfectio may increase risk of vaginitis. YOu should see gynecologist anyway and then topical agents or hormonal therapy may be considered.
Wish you good health. Regards
