Question : I have significant small bruises on both my right and left elbows from using crutches. I am concerned, as I have arthritis that it's from internal issues. I am icing and trying to stay off my arms as much as possible but I am in agony. Should I see a doctor for an xray or mri?
I have been on crutches since July and it's Oct now, so significant pressure for several months. This is the first time i've seen bruising like this. I have two more months on crutches, so looking forward to your feedback.

Brief Answer:
Hello. You may have stress fractures of your distal humeri
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX I've seen the images. If there's also a lot of pain in those areas you may well have stress fractures in both of your humeri bones in the arms.
You do need to see a doctor for X-rays.
Stress fractures usually heal well on their own but if you have them in this case you may need casting.
Please let me know if you need any more information.

If I did not go in to get casts on both of my arms, what would happen? I have two months on crutches with a cast already on one leg, so casts on my arms in NOT an option.
Brief Answer:
The fractures would likely heal without casting
Detailed Answer:
Usually stress fractures don't need casting, but you still should get x-rays to check
