What Causes Bruises On Upper Left Shoulder And Pain In Legs?

Question: Hi I am 39yrs I have been having bruises on my upper left shoulder and pain underneath pain in my legs cramping and throbbing and sometimes stinging I have been extremely tired also for the last month and sugars have been dropping I am a diabetic have high blood pressure hypothyroidism female issues

Detailed Answer:
Good day,
Noted your concern. The photo which you attached shows some bruises.
Few things to be ruled out.
a) Uncontrolled hypothyroidism.
b) Liver abnormalities
c) Too much or too less Cortisol ( hormone issues)

May i suggest following investigations?
a) CBC, ESR
b) Liver function test.
c) Serum creatinine, Blood urea.
d) electrolytes.
e) TSH, Free T4.
f) Hba1c.
g) 8 AM serum cortisol and a 24 hour urinary free cortisol.
h) Vitamin D.

I would appreciate if you could attach any blood reports done recently if available.

Hi I have also noticed red spots on my leg near my thigh my left arm near my shoulder gets so weak at times and the pain in my legs are so unbearable at times I usually have to take Aleve during the day and I have lost 22lbs since November is that a problem I really don't have much of a appetite anymore I am just worry I am taking my diabetic medcine doctor told me to keep on taking it until I see him next week here is a photo of my red spots

Need direct examination

Detailed Answer:
Those red spots could be due to a skin infection by virus or even due to diabetes itself. As i mentioned earlier, With the weight loss and feeling tired as well as sugars going low may be due to adrenal hormone deficieny ( cortisol). Please try to get an earlier appointment with your endocriologist so that a close examination can be made. Vasculitis skin lesions are another thing to be ruled out. The differential diagnosis is very wide and it is very diffcult to conclude with out examining you directly.
