Question : Hi, I recently had an accident with my foot, someone trod on my foot with a heavy shoe resulting in quite a lot of bruising etc. I can move it ok, but there is some swelling. I am flying to New York on Thursday, just checking it ok to do so, bearing in mind I take a daily blood thinner

It is natural to get bruising and swelling after trauma.
However, since you are on blood thinners, there may be tendency of slow clotting of blood in response to injury in small blood vessels.
