Question: my symptoms are 3-4 days ago unexplained bruising covering left thigh and as of yesterday starting on the right, legs slightly swollen and cramping at night, now today my BP is 91/54 HR 64 , my abdomen is distended, my stomach hurts bout 6 out of 10, uncontrollable belching, gas pains and liquid bile bloody stools when able to discharge flatus, I am chilling and seem to have a low grade temp and small amount of respiratory difficulty producing thick white phylegm also am producing large amounts of turquoise to army green nasal discharge which is normal from the MRSA (aint had my IV antibiotics in ove a year and off of my Zyvox) I have a history of MRSA, Myobacterial Chlenae and an unknown immune disorder. My question is is this possibly from my diseases or do you think something else is going on with the bruising and stomach/bloody stools?
Sent picture of left leg, now right leg is starting to bruise also. Bruises slightly humped and some are painful to touch. have bruising below knee also. I was on Cytoxin over 15 years ago for cereberal membraneous neropathy, and cancer runs heavy in my family history. I have been disabled with the mrsa, etc since 2002. Thank You

Brief Answer:
To rule out platelet dysfunction

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms,
First and foremost let me reassure you, these are definitely not due to abdominal aortic aneurysm. Aneurysm usually present as catastrophe presenting as rupture.

You have developed spontaneous non traumatic ecchymosis. It could be due to following causes
1. Vitamin C deficiency
2. Henoch scholein purpura: Should be considered especially as it is associated with gastro-intestinal bleeding
3. Thrombocytopenia : Reduced platelet or qualitative platelet defect
4. Paraneoplastic syndrome

I would suggest you to consult your physician for further assessment. Following investigation can be planned
1. Complete blood count
2. Peripheral smear
3. Vitamin c levels
4. Bleeding and coagulation profile
5. Ultrasound abdomen

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Take Care
