What Causes Bump Under Tongue?

Question: So I have this bump underneath my tongue on the right side noticed it a few days ago today I put salt on it and now it became pointy now please what can this be is it curable is it some type of disease is it spreadable can I take something or is this like a long term thing like herpes

Hello,

Thanks for the question.This doesn't look like herpes, but just a mouth ulcer.Try few things like rinse mouth with antimicrobial mouth rinse, a corticosteroid ointment,local anesthetic ointment if its painful.This should take care of this.

Avoid chewing gum, brushing with pressure , squeezing it or eating spicy food.

Sometimes decrease vitamin B12 levels causes this in vegetrain individuals.So if you are vegetarian take B12 vit supplements.Regards.

It doesn't hurt or anything and when you say don't use pressure when brushing teeth what does that mean I took a pic of it is there anyway I can send it to you or something
