Question : my daughter had a cast on for 5 weeks. On Monday it was taken off. Today i noticed bumbs on the arm where the cast had been. They are not breaking open. I'm just wondering is this is normal. She still has a brace that she can take off to bathe or wash her hands.

Brief Answer:
Could be due to malunion

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthCareMagic.

I have gone through the details but would still require a few more details. I would like to know the specific reason for the cast and the specific location of the fracture if that was the reason the cast was put. I would also like to know if the bumps are over the previous location of the fracture. In that case, it could be due to malunion. It would be really helpful if you can upload a photograph of the previous and present x ray films along with a photograph of the region. I would also like to know the reasons for use of the braces.

I would eagerly wait for the answer.
