What Causes Burning And Itching Sensation In The Anal Area?

Question: Hi I am 62 yrs old lady. Last two months ago I was having burning and itching sensation near anal area. It was unbearable. After a week there was a bowl near anal area and it got burst and I had relief from burning and itching. But after that there was pus draining from that area. My doctor diagnosed it as fistula and told me to see a surgen. Even the surgen also told me that surgery should be done. Now I am not having pus drainage but continuous burning sensation. I don't want to go for surgery. Pl advice
