Brief Answer:
Burning sensation is the withdrawal effect...

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query

The burning sensation in the nose and the ear are due to the sudden withdrawal of smoking.

In the absence of any infection of the respiratory tract, the burning is most likely due to withdrawal effect of smoking. Hence, starting to smoke again will make the things worse than better.

My suggestions to you are:
1. Drink plenty of warm water, to keep the mucosa moist and irritant free.
2. Try taking oral multivitamin supplements to help in regeneration of the inflamed mucosa.
3. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, they are the rich source of vitamins.
4. Avoid coffee/chilled food & beverages/ fizzy drinks.

Hope with the above measures you will feel better. If the symptoms persist, please contact your doctor for a complete evaluation and management.

Revert back to me if you have any further queries.
