What Causes Burning Pain After Ejaculation In An Herpes Patient?

Question: i've had the same problem for a year and a half now...experience a mild burning/stinging sensation right after ejaculation, but nothing during urination. and, if i don't ejaculate everything is fine. I have a herpes.. is it possible that this is simply because i have the std, and i have to deal with it, or what? I haven't had that before.. any thoughts would be helpful...thanks
Brief Answer:
Burning pain after ejaculation is quite normal.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Rafa and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i can fully understand your concern.
The first time you pass urine after ejaculation, a burning type as you describe is normally experienced in many people.
You don't need to worry about it.
If you're undergoing treatment for herpes, it'll reduce after the course is over.
Drink 10-12 glasses fluids daily.
Wish you good health.

With all due respect byt l think its not normal coz l have never experienced it before and l had never had that stinging rught after ejaculation. It must be a reason fir that. Either bacteria infection or some other inflammation but that l wanted to hear from you. I know my body and l kniw it is not normal reaction.
Brief Answer:
rule out urinary and semen infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Rafa,
The doubt can be cleared by doing a test called Urine routine and culture.
This will give a clear report of possibility of any urinary tract infection.
It would be good to carry out the following blood tests also :
1. blood routine, RBS, creatinine, VDRL,HbsAg and HIV.
2. semen culture.
Kindly stop applying Ketoconazole cream on the tip of penis.
Maintain penile hygiene and avoid moisture at the external opening.
Wish you good health.

One more thing doctor l forgot to ask can that be yeast infection if you ruled out urinary infection?
Brief Answer:
Yeast infections are uncommon.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Rafa,
Yeast infections are known to occur, but are uncommon.
There are red colored rashes over the penis tip, with rashes over the groin and upper thigh region.
They are associated with severe itching, without treatment.
Your symptoms don't seem to be like this.
So, let the urine and semen culture reports come.
