This has been happening about four weeks. Has progressed from just in bed to occasionally in waking hours. Also numbness in feet when standing in one place a few minutes. This in last week or two. No known diabetes or other diseases.

Brief Answer:
Neurological examination

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up and providing further details.

In view of clinical history you have detailed, these symptoms should be evaluated for the possibility of peripheral neuropathy.Neuropathy in early stage, can present like this.I suggest that you should visit a neurologist in person, and get yourself physically examined. Some of the key findings on examination like-absent reflexes, sensory loss-are indicators of neuropathy.Further, you might have to undergo nerve conduction studies also to detect neuropathic changes.Next step however,is a neurological examination.

Hope that helps. If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
