Question : I was having burning sensation over body in December and my doctor my Vitamin D level was low and too it for for 6 weeks and felt better only for the sensation came back. More lab test including Sed rate and ANA test. Vitamin D level was normal. Sed. Rate level 21. and ANA test stated positive though FANA test is normal 1:80 does not make sense. I was referred to a a Rheumatolgist and my appointment is a month which too far. I have attached my lab test for reference.

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that your ANA is positive although titre is low but i your blood reports your platelet is also low which is not expected for a healthy person . Combining the two results there is a possibility of underlying connective tissue disease like lupus .Do you have any other symptoms pertaining to lupus.Also any family history of such disease . We will also need other tests like ENA profile , CPK , urine routine , anti ds dna etc for lupus profiling . Also please tell the pattern of ANA positivity.

Hello Dr. XXXXXXX

My platelets level have been low over the years and I was refered to see an oncologist fours years ago and he told my blood me my plates easily clumped they use an a special tube to prevent the clumping and the 2 times he did the test my platelets level was normal. But in regular lab it always shows low in it;s 120s.
There is is no history of lupus in my family. and I do not any have any other about from the burning sensation that I have from my head to toes and once in a while pains on my joint and ringing on my right ear.

I have gone through your issues and i'm of the opinion that still we need to rule out lupus by getting the tests I mentioned to you earlier . Because lupus can present like this and have similar complaints as you describe . So please get those tests done and report back to me .
