What Causes Burning Sensation And Mouth Ulcers After Eating Chicken And Prawns?

default
Posted on Tue, 13 May 2014
Question: Hi, whenever I eat chicken, prawns, after a day or two start feeling burning sensation while sleeping.(especially early morning), drinking water would relief me momentarily. alternatively taking Aciloc 150 tablets 5 to 6 dosage or more right after consuming chicken or prawns would relieve me from burning sensation. Simultaneously heat boils on mouth including tongue also observed. Please let me know how can i avoid this without pills or any permanent kind of solution, i feel like my stomach mucosal layer is weekened, due to which more acidity and heat absorbed to body and hence the burning sensation. if so is there anyway to improve my stomach mucosal condition. Thanks

Brief Answer: Acid peptic disease/ H.pyolri infection Detailed Answer: Dear Friend. Hi , I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern. This can be because of any of the following 2 reasons: 1. Hyperacidity / Acid Peptic Disease. 2. H.pylori Infestation 3. Allergy to Prawn. 1st and 2nd are more likely, but many times this can be result of a very little allergic reaction. In order to help you better, i need a few more details: 1. Does this happen only when you eat chicken/prawns? 2. Have you ever noticed the same thing happening after eating any other spicy food? 3. Any history of regurgitation of food? 4. Any history of Alcohol consumption? 5. Any history of Smoking? 6. Any history of any itching, rash, breathing difficulty, eye swelling after eating prawn? This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any query you may please ask me and reply with the answers of above asked questions preferably point wise only. Brief Answer: Seems to be hyperacidity Detailed Answer: Dear Friend. It seems you are suffering from hyperacidity. I advise you to get an Endoscopy with H.pylori test. Till then you should observe the following: 1. To consume soft and bland diet. 2. To take Tab Pantocid 40 mg twice a day. 3. To avoid spicy food that is with chicken and prawn. I would like to know if you can afford or its feasible for you to undergo endoscopy.. If you can review with reports.. If you can't let me know If you have a further query please ask me. Else close the discussion and rate it.
