Brief Answer:
Pain may take some time to settle, Keep looking for warning signs

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic!

Based on the history you have shared, it is sad to know what you had to go through.

Actually the injury as you have described it to be, is significant enough to give this much pain and may take some time to settle down completely.

The referal of pain to different areas can be due to involvement of some nerve carrying sensations from the scalp, including compression over it by any soft tissue inflammation and as soon as the inflammation settles down, so will be the pain.

Do look for any warning signs to be concerned about. These may be local including bleeding through the wound, or puss or any kind discharge with or without fever and generalised signs including vomiting, double visions or fits or jerky movements.

If any of these is observed, consult a neurologist and get a CT or MRI scan of head done. Meanwhile keep using analgesic like ACETAMINPHEN 650mg Three times a day for 3-4 days, if have been prescribed by your physician.

Hoping you a speedy recovery.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
