Question : I have had a burning pain while urinating for the last 3 days. Pain is getting better, but feel constantly like I need to pee. Haven't noticed any discharge and it has been around 4 weeks since my last sexual encounter (wore a condom). I did have sex a couple of days before the pain started, but it was with an individual who has tested clean for STDs. The pain is inside the urethra just before the head of the penis. Yesterday, when I squeezed the pain point, I felt what felt like a small swollen gland. Almost like a tiny ball. That has since disappeared.

Brief Answer:
Urinary tract infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Your symptoms are very characteristic for urinary tract infection located in the urethra. Due to bacteria presence (which is not an STD) you get burning while urinating, frequent urinating. Lower abdominal pain, trace of blood in urine or even fever can be present.

I suggest you to have urine analysis done. Antibiotic treatment might be necessary. You should also increase mineral water intake and start cranberries supplementation.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
