Brief Answer:
a urinary tract infection probably

Detailed Answer:
Hello there, welcome to HCM,

Burning while urinating and increased frequency and urgency of urination are symptoms of urinary tract infections. If you don't have fever, then it has to be cystitis.

Cranberry juice is great for prevention but not adequate for treatment. Antibiotics will have to be used. A urinalysis should be ordered to confirm the infection.

The choice of antibiotic depends on your medical history, recent exposure to antibiotics, allergies, etc. For example if you've used Amoxicillin-Clavulanate in the last 3 months, you shouldn't use it now. Good choices include: amoxicillin-clavulanate, Fluoroquinolones (like Ciprofloxacin, Levofloxacin) and/or Nitrofurantoin. All choices have pros and cons.

I don't believe you could take any of them without a prescription though, so please check with your local physician before initiating the therapy..

I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!
