What Causes Burning Sensation In Abdomen?

Question : Have a hot burning sensation mainly across mid abdomen in line with navel.Mainly left side sometimes straight across
Have had ultrasound scan and gall bladder,pancreas,liver kidneys,ovaries all fine.
Have been suffering for months though with acid reflux and indigestion - been prescribed omeprazole,then ranitidine, - no medication now but should I go for endoscopy. this burning,gnawing pain is driving me mad and sometimes at night my stomach/bowel noises wake me up and its painful?
