Question : I have restless leg syndrome but lately my feet "burn" much of the time. I am female 66yrs old and generally youthful and well. I also have Tinnitus quite badly.I have been very Anaemic ,53 last blood test 2months ago. Starting to be anxious about situation.
Brief Answer:
RLS is also caused by Anemia, so please have that worked up.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM: Anemia is one of the reversible causes of RLS, and as far as the tinnitus goes, this could be medication induced, patients on a lot of Aspirin will have this, other than that, please note that you may need to see an audiologist as this may be a sign of hearing loss and or vertigo, so an evaluation needs to ensue with visiting your regular doctor. I hope this helps.

As the clomazapan I take does not help the condition but has side effects should I dis continue them over time?
Brief Answer:
If you don't need the Clonazepam, yes wean off of it,
Detailed Answer:
however, the Clonazepam would help with the side effects of RLS though, but would make the sensation of tinnitus especially vertigo and or dizziness worse (I know you did not state that you have vertigo and or dizziness, but I am just stating that in the case that you have had such symptoms).

What is a normal healthy blood count please?
Brief Answer:
Which count, there are many aspects to a blood count,
Detailed Answer:
If you are talking about Hemoglobin & hematocrit this varies by age and gender, close numbers are:
Hemoglobin 11.5-15.8 g/dL
Hematocrit 35-45 %
MCV 80-98 fL
Now these values differ with different labs, but those are estimates really. Those are the values you may want to zero in on your lab work.
Regards

No our surgery do not show the corresponding paper work .I assumed it was the area of blood that can be effected by an intake of iron. Hope this helps and thank you.
Brief Answer:
Iron intake will affect most blood lines
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back to HCM
I suspect that this is the Iron level itself in your blood which is still low anyway.
Normal iron level is 60-170 mcg/dL.
