Question : I am having an intense burning in my lower intestines. My stools are mucusy (sp?) and very loose. I am a bit lactose intolerant but I have not consumed anything with milk today or yesterday. It started last week and has gotten much worse today. I also have sharp pains and cramping.
Brief Answer:
could be viral gastroenteritis
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
I am sorry about your complaints.
It seems to be a minor viral gastroenteritis. Why don't you get a stool routine done?
Watch what you eat, avoid lactose and lactose containing foods. Probiotics will help you like lactobacillus. Get it from the nearby store and consume it thrice daily for 3 days.
For the sharp pains and cramping, you can take simple analgesics like Panadol that is available over the counter. Please do not over-medicate yourself.
Consume fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink more fluids orally.
Get well soon.
