Brief Answer:
Most likely related to gastric acid reflux.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Your symptoms are most likely related to gastric acid reflux (GERD). Ranitidine won't be that effective for this. You have to take proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole and motility enhancers like domperidone for this.

Esomeprazole is available as over the counter in brands like Nexium. This should be taken daily 1 hour before break fast. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Avoid too spicy foods, junks, greasy and fatty foods, carbonated drinks and coffee. Raise the head end little more with extra pillows when you sleep. Also have dinner at least two hours before bed time. Also have light meals at short intervals.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
