Brief Answer:
Balanoposthitis and genital herpes are some possibilities

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.

You had not mentioned anything about your sexual activities and the duration of your problem. Those will be useful to arrive at some diagnosis.
Burning sensation not during urination, but persisting over the penis can be present in the following conditions.
1. An inflammation of penis (balanoposthitis) due to various etiology like irritation or infection like yeast etc. But there must be some signs of inflammation like redness or rashes (at least mild).
2. Prodromal syndrome in case of genital herpes. Would be present not more than 3-5 days. After which specific symptoms like vesicles or ulcers would appear.
3. Lastly, following an exposure, due to phobia against STD/HIV, one could have such symptoms which needs psychiatrist's help.
Consult your physician, he/she will guide you further.

It's been burning for 2 days the first day my penis head felt irritated so yesterday I put cortisone cream on it which made it burn ever since that I had a mild burning sensation. I have a girlfriend for a while and I'm not having sex with any besides her so I don't think it has to do with a std . ive noticed I'm peeing more often then usually today .

Brief Answer:
Urinary tract infection has to be ruled out

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
If you are urinating frequently, you have to rule out urinary tract infection by examining your urine in a laboratory. Presence of pus cells more than 5, indicates uti. Further investigation needs to select the appropriate treatment.
Prodromal symptoms of genital herpes also should be kept in mind.
Consult your physician.

Unless my girlfriend is cheating on my I don't think it's genital herpes there's no bumps or anything wouldn't I have other signs besides just a burning sensation. Can I possibly have a allergic reaction?

Brief Answer:
Herpes simplex 1 infection is not a STD

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Welcome back.
Herpes simplex infection before manifesting there may be such symptoms experienced by some individuals. Herpes simplex 1 infection is not necessarily a STD, can be passed to genitals by oral contact. There is no question of cheating.
Allergic manifestations would associate with some sort of rashes or color change.
Mild inflammation is the other possibility.
