                                            Possible Shingles
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
You have been experiencing increased sensitivity to your side of the face adn scalp. This hypersensitivity maybe the precursor to shingles. The nerves fo the face can become hypersensitivity just before the rash from shingles appears. If you develop any rash on your scalp or face then you have shingles. i would recommend that you be seen by your medical provider and the tow of you determine if treatment for shingles may be warranted.
It could also be from other nerve entities like trigeminal neuralgia which is a pinching of the trigeminal nerve just below the cheek. It can also cause severe pain and burning of the face and is treated with medications. Again you need to be evaluated by your medical provider to determine the cause of your discomfort.
I hope I answered your question. Please return to us if you have any further questions or concerns
