Question: I have a burning sensation in my knee after exercise. I had a TKR 12 months ago. Am I doing too much activity?

A burning sensation often occurs following a TKR because the nerves just below the skin surface got disturbed. It does not indicate that exercise is excessive. Exercise is important and therefore it might be important to sometimes take painkillers before exercise. A brisk rub occasionally should help in relieving the burning sensation.
