Brief Answer:
Most likely due to laryngopharyngeal reflux.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to laryngopharyngeal reflux. Omeprazole won't be that effective for this. If you were my patient with such condition then I would suggest more potent proton pump inhibitors like rabeperazole and motility enhancers like domperidone for 4 to 6 weeks. Avoid fatty greasy and junk foods. Carbonated drinks ,excess coffee and alcohol should be avoided also. Taking vitamin C is also good.

If there is no improvement then a consultation with a gastroenterologist should be done. He/She might do fibrogastroduodenoscopy in such case.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
