What Causes Burning Sensation In Upper Abdomen And Frequent Feeling Of Urination?

Question: Hi, I have been getting a mild burning sensation in my upper abdomen every few weeks for the past couple of months. When it comes on, I tend to feel as though I need to urinate more frequently, but do not have a burning sensation in my lower abdomen or penis when I urinate. It tends to come on more at times of stress, or if I've eaten certain foods like dairy, or processed foods. I go to a strict diet of healthy vegetables and fruits, with lots of water - and the pain subsides after a day or two. I'm not sure what it could be, an ulcer perhaps?
Brief Answer:
Can be Acid reflux.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern.
There are two possibilities:
1. Acid reflux.
2. Urinary Tract infection.
I would advise in this scenario to take a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone for a few days.
Even if it persists after that you would require to get an Ultrasound Abdomen and Urine routine and microscopy to rule out any stones and Urine infection.
I hope it helps.
Stay Healthy.
