Such symptom can be caused by vein thrombosis. It is more possible if the burning is more intense while walking and the calf is painful when pressing on it. Leg should be also swollen.
Burning in this area can be also caused by spine issues like spine disc herniation. Back pain is characteristic for this issue.
In case of veins thrombosis you should not wait with it and have Dopplers ultrasound done.
In case of spine problems you should have spine MRI.
