Question : Hi there. I've been experiencing burning urination every time I go to the washroom for the past 3 days. Starting to get worried. The tip of my penis is sore and a little red. There is no discharge and there are no sores. I think it might have been from over-masturbation and sexual activity for the past couple of weeks, but I'm not sure. Any suggestions?

                                    Brief Answer:
UTI needs to be ruled out.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to the forum.
It is quite possible that the reasons quoted could be the cause of the burning urination.
However, symptoms are also suggestive of urinary tract infection (UTI).
I would suggest urine analysis, urine culture and sensitivity to rule out infection.
Mean while the following things should help you.
1. Plenty of oral fluids.
2. Cranberry juice extract.
3. azo- available over the counter.
Kindly write back for doubts if any,
Sincerely,

If in fact the burning persists and worsens over the next couple of days, do you recommend that I go and see a doctor? I've also been feeling a little sluggish the past couple of days.

                                    Brief Answer:
Better to see your doctor- to get well soon.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
Consulting your doctor is a must, either urologist or a family practitioner.
He usually requests the tests i suggested and treatment can be directed based on the results.
Hope i am clear.
