Question : My urinalysis showed 2+ occult blood and trace leukocyte esterase! I do have some burning with urination

Brief Answer: Urinary tract infection. Detailed Answer: Hello! Thank you for the query. Such results can indicate mild urinary tract infection. Especially if also symptoms like frequent urinating, burning while urinating, lower abdominal pain are present. I suggest you to have an antibiotic prescribed (like Ciprofloxacine 500 mg twice a day for 5 days). If this wont help, urine culture test should be next. In a meanwhile please increase mineral water intake and start cranberries supplements intake. Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions. Regards.
