Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr. XXXXXXX
Thanks for posting your query on this forum.
Firstly, self-diagnosis and presumptive treatment may prove to be harmful. It can be either, fungal or, bacterial infection. On the other hand, particularly if there are no symptoms except for a whitish layer (called smegma)- produced by glands of the head of penis for lubrication.
But infection should be suspected if the head of penis is itchy and red. In that case, you may apply an anti-fungal + anti-bacterial ointment, such as, BECLOTIS-CG thrice daily for 10-14 days. It is an OTC cream.
Hope I have addressed your concerns to your complete satisfaction and you find my response helpful and informative. I will be happy to answer further queries, if any.
Take care,

There are white sores and they are sometimes itchy. There is no red marks.
It is there for last 15 days and I have been applying cocunut oil as a home remedy.
I had taken antibiotics for 7 days about a montyh back.
Will the recommended ointment help given above background ?
Brief Answer:
Tests for STD and herpes simplex recommended
Detailed Answer:
Well, XXXXXXX
In case you have had unprotected, extramarital sex (if AT ALL), I would strongly recommend that you get tested for STD and Herpes infection.
However, the symptoms do resemble those of candidiasis and will certainly resolve with the prescribed ointment, if used thrice a day for 10-14 days.
Take care
