Brief Answer:
This is normal once in a while

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns about bleeding for more days.

This increased days and dark blood is seen when excess endometrial tissue comes out during periods.

If it has happened only in 2 cycles, there is nothing to worry about it as this is normal many times. This generally corrects by it self.

If this continues or you wish to investigate further, please get an ultrasound scan done to check for any polyp or fibroid in uterus.

Let me know if you need any more help.

Regards

Brief Answer:
Need to check egg count

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Pregnancyi s difficult after 40 years of age as eggs reduce drastically.

The delayed periods may not be because of pregnancy. You need to get uterus and ovary checked by ultrasound scan. Apart from looking for fibroid and polyp, you should also get checked if there are enough number Of eggs in your ovary to get pregnant or not.

I hope your doubt is cleared.

Let me know if you need any more help.
