Question: Hi. I experienced chest pain and stomach pain after eating a heavy meal. it did not feel like heart burn but a different type of pain. I exercise regularly and take my heart rate up to 155BPM and lift weights and do not experience chest pain. could angina only be triggered by eating or because I have good physical fitness is it likely caused by something else?

Brief Answer:
Following answer to your query.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

Your symptoms aren't typical for cardiac issues. What you are describing isn't typical for angina but for GERD ( acid reflux disease ).

However i would recommend to do the following examinations to find out what is causing your symptoms:
- blood work
- ecg
- chest xray
- abdominal ultrasound

Meanwhile I would suggest that you should:
- eat often and small portions
- avoid alcohol and caffeine containing drinks
- avoid spicy food
- stop smoking
- use antacids and ppi to relieve your pain

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
