Question : HELLO ,PLEASE SUGGEST ME AS MY FATHER HAD TSH VALUE->150.WHEN DOCTOR PRESCRIBE THYRONORM 100 HE FEELS CHEST CONGESTION AND BREATHLESSNESS, THEN HE CHANGED TO ELTROXIN ,BUT SAME THING WITH THAT MEDICINE TOO.NOW I AM PUZZELED WHAT TO DO..

Hi,

At this point in time, Thryoxine replacement (eltroxin or Thyronorm) can cause temporary disturbances to the human body. The reactions can be short lived and that too in a septanarian, nearing 70 yrs.
To find out if everything is well and if he is a good canditate for Eltroxin or Thyronorm it is better to get cardiac evaluation by Cardiologist. It helps to check if the new symptoms that you had told were just because of replacement and not organic disease.

sir,
during ..breathlessness and congestion we..went for trop t--0.05 and ECG which was normal according to dm cardiologist,,so that wether we could add with these eltroxin to get further relief from negative symptoms ..please suggest

since serious heart problems are ruled out you can take eltroxin in my opinion. I think drug related side effects are short lived.
