Question : I'm taking cyclosporine 200mg a day and 60mg of Cymbalta. Lately I've been experiencing some chest pain, mild pain and numbness in my left arm, confusion to a moderate degree. occasional heart palpitations, and some pain and tightness in my chest which is not severe. Could this be the medication or is it a separate from the medication?

                                    Brief Answer:
Needs management
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read yoru question and i understand your concern. CHest pain with numbness in left arm, confusion and palpitations is likely an attribute of cymbalta a sequela of its use in guise of anxiety and tremors and panic attacks.
Apart from anxiety , other possibilities of dyspepsia, nausea and generalised body aches can be attributed to cyclosporine too and can cause chest pain.
Nutshell. get an ekg done to be on the safer road, once ruled out then all you need is a few anxiolytics and some antacids and prokinetics.
I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.

Any idea why now the Cymbalta would might act up in my system? I've been taking it for over 3 years without issue.

                                    Brief Answer:
Cymbalta can trigger anxiety
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back to me
As i mentioned the symptoms are of anxiety. Some times the presentation of anxiety when it is severe or is accompanied by panic attacks can present this way, ts rather commonest presentation of chest pain . Apart from it, cymbalta can trigger it as well, duration of use does not matter for kicking in of symptoms.
Not to mention, other possibilties which i mentioned earlier should be sorted out too. So its not yet decided whether it is cymbalta or cyclosporine or mere anxiety or a gastric discomfort.
I hope it helps.
