Posted on Sat, 26 Apr 2014
Question: I have been on Zebeta for a few months. I have been experiencing chest pain under my breastbone on occasion. Thought it was heartburn. The usual Meds did not take the pain away. Baking soda and water seemed to help. No other says toms of heart attact were present. Help please.

Brief Answer: PLease, seek consultation! Detailed Answer: Hi and thank you so much for this query. I am so sorry to hear about this chest pain that you have reported. From the information, it is very atypical and doesn't suggest a heart attack or any other clearly defined pathology. This will warrant further testing to tell what the problem is. Seen the location of this pain and your age, I will recommend that you get an upper Gastrointestinal endoscopy to look direct int the oesophagus and stomach for any possible explanations to this disease. Depending on the initial findings, treatment or further investigations would be pursued. I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information if need be. Thanks. Dr. Ditah, MD.
