What Causes Chills, Vomiting And Excessive Perspiration?

?? Viral gastroenteritis, a few suggestions
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. It sounds to me like you and your husband are suffering from a case of viral gastroenteritis which is caused due to the following reasons:
+Consuming contaminated water
+Improper hand washing technique or infrequent hand washing
+Seen more commonly in children or in adults living in nursing homes
+Consuming raw meat (especially seafood from contaminated water)
and a few other reasons.
I would recommend the following:
+Drink plenty of water: As you and your husband are having trouble keeping thing down try sucking on ice cubes or visit a hospital to get intra-venous administration of fluids. Mainly because dehydration is the primary cause for concern with the stomach flu (gastroenteritis)
+Eat liquid food (e.g. soups, porridge, etc.) with no spices and in small quantities giving your stomach enough to deal with during this phase
+Try to get your hands on some probiotics (available in packaged form in most markets and medical stores) or use natural probiotics (e.g. curds, etc.)
+Avoid other dairy products and meat for some time
+Get some energy drinks from the supermarket which will help you to replenish your electrolytes or purchase ORS (oral rehydration solutions) from the medical store
+Get as much rest as you both can as the fluid loss can make you feel weak, give you bone and joint pains, etc.
+Avoid fruit juices at all costs
+Use antacids like ranitidine, omeprazole, pantoprazole, etc; for symptoms like gas, abdominal bloating, belching, etc.
+Try to get your hands on a medication called ondansetron, which is an anti-emetic (helps prevent vomiting) from your local medical store and take it twice or thrice a day
As you may have noticed I have not really prescribed any medications to you. This is because you have a viral infection for which antibiotics (used to treat bacterial infections) will not really help. Viral infections need to subside on their own without any major intervention, so please be patient and look out for each other.
I hope and pray both of you recover rapidly and completely. Please do not hesitate to write to me for any further clarifications in the meantime, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.
