Question: hi, I went to the doctors office for a general visit to check my sugar level since I have diabetes type 2 and they found my sugar @ 152 fasting and Alt = 205 Ast= 85 so they checked for hepatitis and sure enough found I was positive for Hep B. HBcab pos, hbeag pos and hbsag pos hbeag neg , bilirubin 1.6 . Doc said I'm hep chornic and started on viread, but 2 years ago my liver functions were normal. I'm not sure if he's correct with being chronic Hep B. Could it be acute since it is the first being tested?

Brief Answer:
Kindly provide the complete blood tests results...

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

If your last hepatitis testing was 2 years ago, and with current tests results, chronic hepatitis B is determined. Can you please provide the full tests reports (without typos) as I need one more parameter (Anti-HBe) to determine if the virus is replicable or not.

If you were infected 6 months ago, and did not get treatment and with current lab results, your infection has become chronic although 2 years ago the tests resulted negative. Everything is determined by lab results!

Looking forward to have your complete blood tests results in!
Thank you!
