Question : Hello,

My x-ray images with doctors impressions are attached. I have a chronic neck pain when rotating my neck to the sides, especially the right side of my neck is in pain when moving; since 2010. Sometimes I feel neck stiffness after long hours of sitting.

I haven't had pain of the joints of my hands, shoulders or knees in the past. What specialist should I see?

Brief Answer:
Get further tests done and consult a Neurosurgeon.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

I have examined the reports you uploaded too.

There seems to be reversed of physiologic lordosis of your cervical spine.

This condition could explain your symptoms.

In such cases there is need to examine further your condition before deciding the appropriate treatment pathway, so, in my opinion, there is need for dynamic x-rays of your cervical spine to evaluate any instability (flexed and extended position), a cervical spine MRI (to evaluate any soft tissue damage or cord compression) and an evaluation by a Neurosurgeon.

Treatment modalities depend on above mentioned examinations results and include conservative treatment ( NSAID drugs, physical therapy, epidural injections ), or surgery in cases of significant spinal cord and nerves compression, instability (listhesis).

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
