                                            Question : Hi Dr XXXXXXX
Iam XXXX. I know Im disturbing you everytime but I am very concerned about my health . I have been suffering with this chronic pelvic pain and heavy bleeding past three years. Now after so many years I have taken step to eradicate my problem. As mentioned earler last week I had this fibroid resection. Today its the 9th day Im having pain. The pain seems to be same like I use to have before the surgery. Thats why I am wondering why it is now paining? Since Dr has shaved off some part of the fibroid . Shouldnt I get relief now? Is this pain & bleeding just operational and will settle after few days. Im really scared . Please advise me Dr.

                                    Brief Answer:
Pain killer is the only thing needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mrs. XXXXXXX I understand your anxiety related to the issue.
But this pain will take another week at least to resolve.
Usually pain settles within 10-14 days as uterus tries to habituate to the change configuration of the muscle fibers.
If very severe you can take meftal spas as advised to you beforehand.
Also please tell me the medicines you were prescribed after the procedure so that I can advise you accordingly.
As it is all in all there is nothing to be scared of because it is a common occurrence after myomectomy.
Take care.

Thanks Dr. But it wasnt myomectomy it was just resection of fibroid where he shaved some of it not removed the whole fibroid.
The Dr said as i do have children yet so this TCRF was the only option.
I want to have a baby soon.
Secondly when can I expect my next period?
Thanks

                                    Brief Answer:
Periods will come on scheduled date
Detailed Answer:
Yes dear I know you had TCRE, but that is also mentioned as a subcategory of myomectomy in books.
Your next period will come on scheduled date as per your previous cycles as usually there is no change in that.
There will be definate decrease in flow of periods.
But this pain right now will be relieved soon and in case you feel uncomfortable you can take meftal spas to relieve the same instantly.
As I told you that uterine musculature tries to adapt to the new change in polarity and bulk of muscles after the procedure thus pain is a part and parcel of this surgery.
You should wait for 3 months at least and then try for conception because by that time healing will complete and thus a healthy pregnancy will thrive better.
Wish you best of health.
